Overview

Mantana Tented Camp sits within Lake Mburo National Park, its classic canvas styling and lakeside setting offering a traditional safari base in one of Uganda’s smaller, more intimate parks.

Rooms & Table

The Rooms

Canvas safari tents raised on wooden platforms, each with an en-suite bathroom and views over the lake.

Food & Service

Hearty, well-prepared meals served overlooking the water, consistent with the camp’s classic safari character.

Activities

Game drives, boat trips on Lake Mburo, and guided walks, one of the few Ugandan parks where walking safaris are permitted.

Wildlife & Photography

Lake Mburo is one of the few places in Uganda to see zebra and impala, alongside eland, hippo and a rich variety of waterbirds.

A Photographer's Note

Lake Mburo’s boat trips give close access to hippo and waterbirds directly from the water, distinct from the park’s game drives.

Conservation & Impact

The camp supports Lake Mburo National Park’s conservation programmes, one of Uganda’s most accessible protected areas from Kampala.
