Day 1

Arrival & Entebbe / Local Nature Walks

• Arrive in Entebbe (or Kampala) → transfer to your lodge near Entebbe or in a botanical / forest zone (e.g. botanical gardens, forest reserves). • Afternoon nature walk, birding in local wetlands, lakeshore, forest fragments. Look for water birds, kingfishers, herons, hornbills, forest edge species. • Get rest, meet your guide, brief for the days ahead.

Day 2

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (optional) → Transit toward western Uganda / Kibale area

• Early departure toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, in Nakasongola area (northern central Uganda) to do rhino tracking on foot. Wikipedia • After rhino walk, continue traveling westward toward Kibale / Fort Portal / Hoima region. • Overnight in the vicinity of Kibale / western Uganda.

Day 3

Chimpanzee / Primate focus (Kibale / Bigodi area)

• Morning chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. Kibale is home to many primate species including red colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys. Wikipedia • Return to lodge for lunch and rest. • In afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary for birding, swamp walks, seeing marsh species, forest edge birds. • Overnight in Kibale area.

Day 4

Move toward Queen Elizabeth / Ishasha sector

Move toward Queen Elizabeth / Ishasha sector • Depart west/south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, stop for scenic views, wildlife spots, and possibly crater lakes or riverine zones. • Arrive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth in the afternoon. • Evening drive in Ishasha: seek the rare treeclimbing lions, typical savanna mammals (elephants, buffalo, antelope).
