Leopards Lair sits on a ridge inside the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary, the private conservancy wedged between Tsavo East and Tsavo West, with thatched cottages and an open-sided lounge that looks straight out over the plains toward the Taita Hills. The camp’s terrace and firepit area make the most of that view for sundowners, but its real point of difference is the sunken photographic hide a short walk from camp, where photographers can sit at eye level with elephant, buffalo, and plains game as they come down to drink.
